1. Is it possible to rent a whole apartment?  No, it is not possible. At the very best you can rent semi private ones, with some kind of connection with the main part of he house or apartments. If anyone promises you a whole house or apartment is taking you to a non legal place with all the consequences.

2. How much is the usual rent in Havana and other cities? In Havana it is possible to rent a room between 25 and 35 per night. In other cities is possible for less, but prices depend on the season, the place, the conditions of the house( there are very beautiful and impressive colonial  houses). But in general they are more economical than hotels.

3. Do the rooms have private bathrooms? Most of them yes. Some others share the bathroom between two bedrooms which is inappropriate for people who don't know each other but no so for a family, for instance. That is the point in contacting people like us, we know the houses, their conditions and try to satisfy your expectations and wishes.

4.  What  is your method of requiring  payment?   If  I  have  to pay you in advance of my arrival in Cuba,  what form of guarantee do you give me that you will  provide  me with  the services on my arrival there. The client pays to the landlord (lady) at arrival to the house. No credit cards, no traveler’s check, only cash.

5.  Will  I  have to make my  own flight  arrangements?  Because  you know  that I would not be able  to obtain  a ticket  as cheaply  as  a tour operator  does. You can let the tour operator make every arrangement except hotels, or only two days at a hotel (sometimes it is the minimum required by a tour agent). This give you the choice of getting used to the country in the comfort of a traditional hotel. From de hotel you can contact us and you will be free of moving on or not. 

6.  Would  the  living room  (lounge)  have  a  safety  deposit box?  and  a  TV? Not in every house, but some of them have everything you asked about. The point is that most of the tourists use the rooms only for sleeping and they don’t care about such things. But yes, it is possible. And another important fact in the houses is they are very safe. The owners are responsible for you and your belongings and all of them have a night watch.

(7) --  Would  the bed linen  and towels  be  provided  and exchanged for clean  as  is normally  carried out in a  hotel?   Yes, but most of the time it is every other day, unless the service is requested.  

(8)--  Who would  do the shopping  for the essential  items of  food and  drink which  are only available  at the  stores  which  require  payment  in  US dollars? Most of the houses and apartments have persons in charge of that task. But it is important to know that in case you need something extra the renting of the room, most of the time there is an extra charge too. Not everywhere, but sometimes yes. 

9. Are breakfasts and dinners included in the price? No, but you can have them in the houses at very economical prices if you want.      

10. Do you have photos of the houses?  We have been in the renting area since the very beginning but we are now exploring new possibilities on Internet, so we have some photos but not of every house or apartment.

1. ?Es posible rentar un apartamento completo? No, no es posible, bajo las nuevas leyes no se puede rentar un apartamento o casa solo, en todo caso debe haber alguna conexión con la parte central. En caso de que le prometan uno estarán llevándolo a un lugar no legal, con todas las consecuencias que se puedan derivar de ello.

2. ?Cuanto es usualmente la renta en La Habana in en otras ciudades? En La Habana  es posible rentar habitaciones entre 25 y 35 por noche. En otras ciudades es posible por menos, pero los precios dependen de la estación, el lugar, las condiciones de las casas (hay casas coloniales muy hermosas e impresionantes). Pero en general son mas económicas que los hoteles.

3 ?Tienen las habitaciones baños privados? La mayoría de ellas si lo tienen. Algunas tienen baños entre dos habitaciones que puede ser inapropiado para personas desconocidas entre si, pero no tanto para una familia, por ejemplo. Esa es la importancia  de contactar personas como nosotros, que conocemos las casas, sus condiciones y tratamos de satisfacer sus expectativas.

4.  ?Cual es el método de pago? Si pago por anticipado que garantía me pueden dar de recibir los servicios a mi llegada. El cliente paga al casero(a) a su llegada a la casa. El pago es en efectivo.

5. Debido a que no es posible obtener un boleto de avión tan barato como con un tour operador, ?como hago para entonces rentar una habitación? Usted puede obtener de su tour operador todos los arreglos excepto los de hotel, o solamente dos o tres noches en un hotel(a veces la cantidad mínima requerida por un tour operador). Esto le da también la posibilidad de acostumbrarse a la ciudad desde las comodidades de un hotel tradicional. Una vez en el hotel puede contactarnos, conocernos y tomar sus decisiones.

(6) --  ?Se cambian las ropas de cama y toallas frecuentemente como en los hoteles?   Si, pero la mayoría de las veces día por medio, a menos que se solicite de otra manera.  

(7).?Están los desayunos y las cenas incluidos en el precio?  No, pero puede cenar y desayunar en las casas si lo desea a precios muy económicos.      

8. ?Tienen fotos de las habitaciones?  Hemos estado en el campo de renta de casas desde el mismo comienzo, pero estamos explorando las posibilidades de Internet desde hace poco , y así tenemos fotos pero no de cada casa o apartamento.

9. Necesito la dirección del alojamiento para obtener la Visa y poder llenar la tarjeta de turista a mi arribo al aeropuerto de La Habana. Me darán la dirección ? Si. Tan pronto como le confirmemos su reservación, le enviaremos en el e-mail de la confirmación, la dirección completa del alojamiento y el número de teléfono.

10.?Cómo pago la reservación ? A quien debo pagarle ? Se necesita un pago de anticipo antes de la llegada ? Usted debe pagar en solo en efectivo uan vez que llegue al alojamiento y debe pagarle directamente al dueño del alojamiento. Usted debe pagar por adelantado la cantidad total correspondiente a la cantidad de dias que ha reservado con nosotros.No hay pagos anticipados antes de su llegada a La Habana.
